Getting to Cala Millor from Palma Airport. (just under 1 hour).

The best way to travel between Palma de Mallorca airport (PMI) and your hotel in Cala Millor depends on whether you intend to spend your trip solely in the Cala Millor/Cala Bona area, or whether you plan on driving further afield.

If you plan on relaxing in the Cala Millor area when you are not on the course, then I'd recommend using taxis between the airport and Cala Millor (around €70-80, but slightly cheaper on your return - local taxis are cheaper) and for getting from the hotel to your golf courses of choice (the max you'll pay for each journey will be around €15 per trip, per car).

In the past, to transfer between Palma airport and CalaMillor/Cala Bona, I've hired a 16-seat minibus, WITH DRIVER, from VidalBus. The driver was waiting for us at the airport when we arrived, and cost just €105 each way. Which worked out a lot cheaper than the 4 taxis we would have required otherwise.

If you plan on touring further afield though, then hiring a car/minibus is a must.

The only downside to hiring a car/minibus is that one of the party has to be the "designated driver" each day. Which is something to consider - especially if, like us, you like to finish off a round of golf in the open-air 19th hole.
