After having a fabulous 5 day break in Cala Millor with
calamillorgolf.com, I thought I should share our experience with vistors
to your site.
As part of a group of 12 golfers ranging from a handy 7 to a social 24
handicapper, we had arranged our visit through calamillorgolf.com in the
first week in October 2010. This was our first visit to this part of the
island, so we weren't sure quite what to expect. In past years we have
always tried to do our own organising of golf and hotels etc, so having
things pre-booked for us was a step in the dark.
From the moment we arrived we realised we had made the right
decision. Hotel Atolon is all we could have looked for, comfortable
bedrooms, a great selection of well prepared food both at breakfast and
dinner, evening entertainment, and above all really friendly and attentive
staff. The hotel itself has a great setting right on the beach, so
we wakened to the sound of the waves on the shore. It is also so central
to all that Cala Millor and Cala Bona have to offer, from a bite of
tapas if you are hungry to all the nightlife you can handle.
The golf too was superb. We played twice during our break. First,
we played the excellent Son Servera. Although currently a nine hole layout
it is a real test if you are playing well and want to take it on, with
"percentage" shots always on if you are not at the top of your game. We
enjoyed a couple of beers overlooking the last to round off the match!
Second up we played Pula, a truly superb golf course with so many
memorable holes. The setting is spot on too, with some fabulous views over
the course and the surrounding countryside. I can't wait to take it on
again.
Both courses were close at hand and an easy taxi ride away, which the
Hotel organised for us, so we didn't break the bank getting there either.
All in all I would say it's a great hotel, it's a great location, it's
great golf, it's great value, so "Don't think twice, just go and do it!"
We are booked for a return visit this year --- roll on September!
